Gaskets used in industry are usually classified into three groups based on materials and construction models: metal, semi-metal and non-metal.
Ring shaped gaskets
Ring-shaped gaskets with oval and octagonal sections are designed for standard grooved flanges and can withstand pressures up to 1000psi. Only rings with oval cross-section can be used. .
